Del Castillo says that precautions will be taken to take care of Evo's life

The former president indicated that he is subject to "permanent monitoring."

The Minister of Government, Eduardo del Castillo, announced this Monday that they will take measures to protect the life of the head of the MAS, Evo Morales, who on Sunday assured that he is being spied on and asked the Luis Arce administration for guarantees.

"In the case of a former president who feels persecuted, the corresponding precautions will be taken to protect his life and his integrity," Del Castillo declared at the press conference to present the recaptured beneficiaries by Judge Rafael Alcón.

Former President Morales denounced that he is being spied on and that he is subject to permanent monitoring. That is why he asked the government to guarantee his safety and added that he is investigating whether these actions come "from the right" or from the United States Embassy.

“We denounce that we are being persecuted, spied on and subjected to permanent monitoring. We are investigating whether these illegal actions come from the right or the US Embassy. Our government must control these groups and guarantee the safety of the people,” the former president tweeted yesterday.

Morales' complaints come after the United States Department of State published on Wednesday the photo of the former director of the Special Force Against Drug Trafficking Maximiliano Dávila to offer a reward of five million dollars for information on his links with drug trafficking, the which will lead to a conviction against you.

The US government also formally requested the Foreign Ministry, the preventive detention of Dávila for extradition purposes.
